SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Kenneth "Kenny" Schipper of Cordova, who
4passed away on February 15, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenny Schipper was born in Albany to George and
6Jennie (Bielema) Schipper on December 26, 1939; he attended
7Albany Grade School and graduated from Fulton High School in
81957; he first married Donna Juist in Fulton; he later married
9Eileen Yarbrough in Fulton on September 2, 1989; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Kenny Schipper farmed his entire life in the
11Cordova, Erie, Fulton, Hooppole, and Albany areas; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Kenny Schipper collected Allis Chalmers tractors
13and had 37 in his collection; he enjoyed attending auctions,
14especially farm auctions; he and his wife enjoyed traveling,
15and they made a yearly trip to Cheyenne, Wyoming to watch the
16rodeo at Cheyenne Frontier Days; he was a member of the Fulton
17Saddle Club and enjoyed going out to lunch every Tuesday with
18his friends; he was a kind, gentle person and made friends
19wherever he went; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Kenny Schipper was preceded in death by his
21parents; his son, Jim Schipper; and his brothers, Vernon and

1Leroy Schipper; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Kenny Schipper is survived by his wife, Eileen;
3his daughter, State Senator Sue (Keith) Rezin; his stepsons,
4Jamey and Jason Vermeire; seven grandchildren; six
5step-grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; therefore,
6be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Kenneth "Kenny" Schipper and extend our sincere condolences to
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Kenny Schipper as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
