SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Larry Dean Tisor of Colona, who passed
4away on January 27, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Larry Tisor was born to Dean and Lois (Pickle)
6Tisor in Burlington, Iowa on November 17, 1943; he married
7Catherine Miller in Hagerstown, Maryland on December 26, 1962;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Larry Tisor proudly served in the United States
10Army; he worked as a laborer at John Deere Harvester and
11retired after 30 years of service; he also served as a
12volunteer fireman for Coal Valley for many years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Larry Tisor loved leatherworking, playing
14horseshoes, golfing, and camping; he enjoyed playing softball
15for Murphy's Tap in Rock Island and playing games and spending
16time with his children, grandchildren, and
17great-grandchildren; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Larry Tisor was preceded in death by his father,
19his mother, and his stepfather, William "Bill" S. Thompson; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Larry Tisor is survived by his loving wife,

1Catherine Tisor; his children, Larry (fiance Jill James-Mundt)
2Tisor, Selina Edwards, Melissa (Chuck) Larson, and Judy (Harry)
3Alicea; his grandchildren, Jammy Upton, Trisha Upton,
4Elizabeth (Peter) Fretto, Jacob (Sarah) Larson, Trenton
5Larson, Logan Larson, Autymn (Blake) Lyon, Kendra Raley, Mason
6Raley, Liam Alicea, Clifford Tisor, and Nathaniel Tisor; his
7nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; his step-brother,
8Eric (Gail) Thompson; and his special nephews, Shawn and Scott
9Thompson; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Larry Dean Tisor and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Larry Tisor as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
