SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Tommy Lee Logan, III of Springfield, who
4passed away on January 14, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Tommy Lee Logan was born in Thornton, Mississippi
6to Tommie B. Logan and Luella Sheehi Logan on August 6, 1941;
7he proudly served in the United States Army and was a lifelong
8waiter, having worked for the Springfield Hilton, Sangamo Club,
9St. Nicholas Hotels and Restaurants, and various other
10Springfield restaurants; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Tommy Lee Logan was a member of the Timothy
12Baptist Church and the Wizard's Wonders; he was also an avid
13Cubs fan; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Tommy Lee Logan was preceded in death by his
15parents, Tommie B. Logan and Luella Sheehi Logan; his sons,
16Robert Mike Cowan, Kirk Hardy, David Craig, and Keith Cowan;
17his brothers, William, Leon, James, and Charlie Logan; and his
18sisters, Alma Thomas, Betty McKinney, Dessie Rey Readus,
19Josephine Crutcher, and Betty Logan; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Tommy Lee Logan is survived by his sons, Omar
21Anderson, Jonathan (Camisha) Hardy, Jesse Craig, Anthony

1Craig, Tommy (Erica) Logan, Jason Craig, Michael Craig, and
2Kevin Logan; his daughters, Terri Cowan, Billie Cowan, Patricia
3Craig, Barbara Howze, Diane Orjarigi, Rose Logan, Mary Craig,
4Mary Jane Logan, Luella Logan, Golda (Thomas) Burton, Tiffany
5Cannon, and LaDonna Goodson; his brother, O. Chester (Artie)
6Logan; his sisters, Rochell Logan, Berlinda Thomas, Ethel
7Johnson, Dorothea (Julius) Brooks, and Ann Logan; his
8grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; his nieces; his
9nephews; his cousins; and his friends; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Tommy Lee Logan, III and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Tommy Lee Logan as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
