| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the deaths of Ashly and Vince Maynard, mother and son, |
| 4 | | of Wood River who both passed away on November 20, 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ashly Maynard was born in Graham, Texas to Neil |
| 6 | | and Terri (Hellemeyer) McInnis Jr. on January 30, 1985; she |
| 7 | | married Will Maynard in Alton on July 7, 2007; she graduated |
| 8 | | from Roxana High School in 2003; she worked at Rock the |
| 9 | | Spectrum in Edwardsville and occasionally at Child Horizons in |
| 10 | | Roxana; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Ashly Maynard was a member of Roxana Church of the |
| 12 | | Nazarene; she was active in the Bethalto Mothers of |
| 13 | | Preschoolers Group; she participated in the fine arts at Roxana |
| 14 | | High School and was a member of Thespian Troupe #556 at Roxana; |
| 15 | | she was very active in helping people who had children with |
| 16 | | special needs and was a strong advocate for them; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Vince Maynard was born in Maryville to Will and |
| 18 | | Ashly (McInnis) Maynard on October 12, 2012; he was a |
| 19 | | first-grader at LeClaire Elementary School in Edwardsville; |
| 20 | | and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Vince Maynard loved playing at the park, jumping |
|

| 1 | | on trampolines, swinging, swimming, gymnastics, Pixar movies, |
| 2 | | and anything Toy Story; and
|
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Ashly and Vince Maynard were preceded in death by |
| 4 | | Ashly's paternal grandparents; and Ashly's maternal |
| 5 | | grandfather, Clark Lincoln; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Ashly and Vince Maynard are survived by Will |
| 7 | | Maynard, Lucy Maynard, Neil and Terri (Hellemeyer) McInnis Jr., |
| 8 | | Chelsy McInnis (companion Ken Earley), Neil McInnis III |
| 9 | | (companion Heather Rose), Betty Pitchford, Rex and Mary |
| 10 | | Maynard, Andrew and Carrie Maynard, Alexander Maynard, and |
| 11 | | Kathern Lincoln; therefore, be it
|
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL |
| 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that that we mourn the |
| 14 | | passing of Ashly and Vince Maynard and extend our sincere |
| 15 | | condolences to their family, friends, and all who knew and |
| 16 | | loved them; and be it further
|
| 17 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
|
| 18 | | presented to the family of Ashly and Vince Maynard as an |
| 19 | | expression of
our deepest sympathy.
