SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Cecilia F. Videcan of Joliet, who passed
4away on November 6, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Cecilia Videcan was born in Floresville, Texas to
6Vincent and Annie (Zissa) Jiral on May 10, 1932; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Cecilia Videcan moved to Joliet with her husband,
8Edward, where she raised her family and worked as a switchboard
9operator at Barrett's Hardware; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Cecilia Videcan enjoyed growing flowers and
11vegetables; her second passion was baking, and all of her
12family and friends looked forward to her strawberry rhubarb
13pie, Christmas cookies, and potica; she volunteered her time at
14Holy Family Catholic Church and the DaVita Renal Center West;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Cecilia Videcan was preceded in death by her
17husband, Edward; her son, Donald; and her parents; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Cecilia Videcan is survived by her daughters,
19Catherine (David) Kapinus and Kimberly (Keith) Ogle; her
20daughter-in-law, Deborah (Calabrese) Vidican; her

1grandchildren, Daniel (Katie) Vidican, Lisa Vidican, Eric
2(Wen) Kapinus, Kelly (Brett) Wagner, and Kristin Ogle; her
3nieces and nephews, Michael Vidican, Michelle Jaracz, and JoAnn
4Ketcik; her dear friends, Theresa and Tom Keenan, Kay and David
5Chirafisi, and Lupita Torres; and many other family members and
6friends; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Cecilia F. Videcan and extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Cecilia Videcan as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
