SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lee Waldron on March 16, 2019 at the age
4of 94; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lee Waldron was born in Boston, Massachusetts on
6December 12, 1924 to Murray and Ruth (Liptzer) Waldron and grew
7up in Bow Lake, New Hampshire, where his family had been
8settled since the early 18th century; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Lee Waldron enlisted in the army at age 18 and
10attended basic training in Massachusetts; he was among the
11troops who landed on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day in June
121944 and served in the Battle of the Bulge; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Lee Waldron was a graduate of Northeastern
14University and earned a master's degree from Central Michigan
15University; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Lee Waldron worked for the U.S. Department of
17Defense as a contracting officer; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Lee Waldron was active in community theater during
19his young adult years; and

1    WHEREAS, Lee Waldron lived in Oak Park for the last eight
2years of his life with his wife of 60 years, Paula (Nauchman);
3and
 
4    WHEREAS, Lee Waldron was the cherished brother of James
5Waldron and the late George Waldron; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Lee Waldron is survived by his wife, Paula; his
7children, Richard (Shea) Waldron, Deborah Waldron, and Stacy
8(Bruce) Moncrieff; and his grandchildren, Alex, Jonathan,
9Myriam, Gabriel, David, Adam, Celeste, and Nathan; therefore,
10be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Lee Waldron and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
14friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Lee Waldron as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
