SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Patsy Collison, who passed away on
4November 5, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Patsy Collison was born in Beardstown to Lewis and
6Marie Shouse Jones on April 3, 1931; she attended Beardstown
7High School; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Patsy Collison was a stay-at-home mother and
9worked at various restaurants until her children grew older;
10she later attended beautician school and was a hairdresser in
11Beardstown for many years before working for the State of
12Illinois; she retired in 2001 with over 20 years of service;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Patsy Collison was a member of Christ Lutheran
15Church in Quincy; she enjoyed her daily visits to the Star Cafe
16and was a great cook, especially known for her homemade pies;
17her family was her pride and joy, and her happiest moments were
18when she would cook for her family and friends; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Patsy Collison was preceded in death by her
20brothers, Gene, Alfred, Edward, and Hank; and

1    WHEREAS, Patsy Collison is survived by her children, Vickie
2(Dale) Ring, Guilford "Tad" Collison, and Robert (Kathy)
3Collison; her grandchildren, Anne (Rafe) Breedlove, Collin
4(Courtenay) Ring, Brian (Kirsten) Collison, Marcus (Jenny)
5Collison, Levi (Jenny) Collison, and Carly Collison (Scott
6Vreeland); 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild;
7three great-great-step-grandchildren; numerous nieces and
8nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Lois and Mary Jones;
9therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Patsy Collison and extend our sincere condolences to her
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Patsy Collison as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
