SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ned L. Gosa Sr. of Moline, who passed
4away on October 18, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ned Gosa was born in Beaverton, Alabama to Lee and
6Leila (Stanford) Gosa on June 24, 1937; he married June Gengler
7in Muscatine, Iowa on June 2, 1956; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Ned Gosa worked as a mechanic for Alcoa for 40
9years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ned Gosa was a member of Saint Maria Goretti
11Catholic Church in Coal Valley; he traveled to Alabama to visit
12family and took many road trips out west; he was an Alabama
13football fan and enjoyed taking care of his yard and garden; he
14loved spending time with his family and teasing his
15grandchildren; he had a great memory and was a great
16storyteller; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Ned Gosa was preceded in death by his wife, June;
18his son, Ned Gosa Jr.; his brother, Edward Gosa; and his
19sister, Annette Helms; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Ned Gosa is survived by his children, Tina (Tom)

1Prister and John (Jennifer) Gosa; his daughter-in-law, Terrina
2Gosa; his grandchildren, Alicia Prister, Justin (Tiffany
3Jackson) Prister, Jonathan Prister, Andrew (Ludmila) Prister,
4and Chloe, Benjamin, and Adam Gosa; his sister, Vicki (David)
5Spurlin; and his great-grandchildren, Nolan Holcombe and Wulfe
6Prister; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Ned L. Gosa Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Ned Gosa as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
