SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John Anthony Cielenski Jr. of Lockport,
4who passed away on August 22, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Cielenski Jr. was born in Chicago to Jean
6(Partyka) and John Cielenski Sr. on May 21, 1963; he was raised
7in Hinsdale and graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in
81981; he received his bachelor's degree from the University of
9West Florida, where he played baseball; and
 
10    WHEREAS, John Cielenski Jr. worked as the Lockport Township
11Highway Commissioner; and
 
12    WHEREAS, John Cielenski Jr. was an active member of the
13Lockport community; he was a past president of the Lockport
14Boys Baseball Organization; he coached for the Lockport Junior
15Porters Wrestling Club and the Homer Stallions Football Program
16for over ten years; he also coached for the Illinois Crush
17Baseball Organization for four years; he will be remembered for
18the positive impact he made in the lives of the children he
19coached; and
 
20    WHEREAS, John Cielenski Jr. is survived by his wife, Sharee
21(Robbins); his children, Anthony, Trevor, Justine, and Dylon;

1his parents; his siblings, Georgia (Scott) Roeming and Lora
2(Stephen) Collins; his nieces and nephews, Adam (Daley)
3Collins, Austin (Elizabeth) Collins, Ryan Roeming, Jessica
4(Ben) Smith, Claudia Robbins, and Adam DeMercurio; his
5great-nephews, Mason Dohm, Matthew Collins, and Austin Smith;
6his great-niece, Alexis Smith; his father-in-law, Neil
7Robbins; and his brother-in-law, Doug (Angela) Robbins;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11John Anthony Cielenski Jr. and extend our sincere condolences
12to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
13it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of John Cielenski Jr. as an expression
16of our deepest sympathy.
