SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Sandra Welker of Naples, Florida,
4formerly of Waukegan, who passed away on July 1, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Sandra Welker was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to
6Lloyd P. and Sylvia (Belot) Post on October 15, 1945; she
7married Rodger Welker, and they raised their daughters in
8Waukegan; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Since moving to Naples, Florida, Sandra Welker
10enjoyed serving on the Board and volunteering with the Christ
11Child Society of Naples, playing bridge with multiple groups,
12traveling the world with friends, volunteering with Greater
13Naples Leadership, and spending time with her family; she was
14known for her love of decorating the house for the holidays,
15her entertaining skills, and being a loyal friend; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Sandra Welker was preceded in death by her parents
17and her husband of 40 years, Rodger; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Sandra Welker is survived by her daughters, Sara
19Welker and Megan (Jeremy Pincombe) Welker; her granddaughters,
20Madeline, Julia, and Meredith; her brother, Robert Post; and
21many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Sandra Welker and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
4friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Sandra Welker as an expression of
7our deepest sympathy.
