2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Evelyne (Evie) Stickler of Puryear, |
4 | | Tennessee and North Chicago, who passed away on May 8, 2019; |
5 | | and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Evelyne Stickler was born in North Chicago to |
7 | | Joseph and Bernice (Sznalek) Harazak on March 12, 1930; she was |
8 | | raised in North Chicago, where she met her childhood |
9 | | sweetheart, Robert Stickler, to whom she was married for 68 |
10 | | years; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Evelyne Stickler enjoyed her years as an alderman |
12 | | in the 7th ward in North Chicago during the 1970s and 1980s; |
13 | | and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Evelyne Stickler was a loving wife and mother |
15 | | whose pride and joy was her family; and
|
16 | | WHEREAS, Evelyne Stickler was preceded in death by her |
17 | | parents; her husband, Bob; her brother, Edward Harazak; her |
18 | | sisters, Sylvia Mooney, Irene Stewart, and Helen Van Horn; and |
19 | | her grandson, Zachary Stickler; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Evelyne Stickler is survived by her children, |

14 | | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
