SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Stella Cecylia Dreyer of Waukegan, who
4passed away on April 6, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Stella Dreyer was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin
6to Ludwik and Cecylia Orzech; her family later moved to
7Chicago, where she graduated from St. Paul Commercial High
8School; she married Charles Dreyer in 1964; they settled in
9Waukegan, where they raised their family and her pugs,
10Ferdinand and Isabelle; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Stella Dreyer was devoted to her faith and a
12member of Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan; in
13retirement, she enjoyed taking long bike rides on the North
14Shore Path with her husband; she was proud of her family and
15cherished her close relationship with her grandchildren,
16frequently cooking meals and spending time with them; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Stella Dreyer was preceded in death by her infant
18daughter, Arleen; her son-in-law, Greg Mitten; and her
19siblings, Casimira Bronk, Joseph Orzech, Maryann Lewandowski,
20and Helen Mamola; and her infant sister, Victoria; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Stella Dreyer is survived by her husband of 54

1years, Charles; her children, Charlene (Tom) Temeyer, Marlene
2Mitten, and Allen (Kristine) Dreyer; her grandchildren, Emily
3(Justin) Ensor, Erica (Cullen) Mitten, and Madeline Dreyer; and
4her siblings, Irene (Robert) Lehr and Alois (Brenda) Orzech;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Stella Cecylia Dreyer and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Stella Dreyer as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
