SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of George C. Kincaid of Moline, who passed
4away on March 19, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, George Kincaid was born in Carbon Cliff to Earl
6and Madge Kellums Kincaid on February 22, 1933; he served in
7the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and married Betty Cobb in
8Geneseo on September 24, 1955; and
 
9    WHEREAS, George Kincaid worked for 36 years in the
10maintenance department for the East Moline School District #37;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, George Kincaid was a member of AFSCME, where he
13was past president, and the VFW, where he was past Commander;
14he was also a member of the United Methodist Men and Boy Scout
15Troop 100; he enjoyed bowling and woodworking; and
 
16    WHEREAS, George Kincaid was preceded in death by his wife,
17Betty; his parents; one brother; and four sisters, including
18his twin sister; and
 
19    WHEREAS, George Kincaid is survived by his children,
20Kathryn Killion, Keith (Linda) Kincaid, and Jayne (Stan)

1Cooper; his grandchildren, Holly (Jim) Van Vlymen, Anne (Phil)
2Randall, Brandon Klavine, Chase and Aksel Kincaid, and Jack
3Cooper; his great-grandchildren, Luke and Logan Van Vlymen; and
4his brother, Richard Kincaid; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7George C. Kincaid and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of George Kincaid as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
