6 | | Olympics; and

7 | | WHEREAS, Once again the women's team enters this year's |
8 | | Women's World Cup as favorites with the nation behind them; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, The U.S. women's national team has outpaced the |
10 | | men's national team in viewership, as its
2015 Women's World |
11 | | Cup championship game is the most watched soccer game in |
12 | | American history,
for either gender; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Recently, 28 women's team players filed a federal |
14 | | lawsuit against the U.S. Soccer Federation, alleging that the |
15 | | Federation had engaged in wage discrimination by paying the |
16 | | women far less than the men, despite the fact that these female |
17 | | and male players are called upon to
perform the same job |
18 | | responsibilities on their teams and participate in |
19 | | international competitions for
their single common employer, |
20 | | the United States Soccer Federation; and
