SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Deputy U.S. Marshal Chase Sabethal White
4of Tucson, Arizona, who died in the line of duty on November
529, 2018; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Deputy U.S. Marshal White was born on July 28,
71977; he grew up in Central Illinois and earned a bachelor's
8degree in history from the University of Illinois in 2000; he
9served in the United States Air Force from 2000 until 2007; he
10rose to the rank of Captain and then continued to serve in the
11Air Force Reserve in the 926th Wing at Nellis Air Force Base,
12where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel; while serving
13in the United States Air Force, he completed coursework for his
14master's degree in human relations, which he received, with a
154.0 grade point average, from the University of Oklahoma in
162003; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Deputy U.S. Marshal White joined the U.S. Marshals
18Service in 2015 and served in the District of Arizona, Tucson
19office; prior to his service with the Marshals, he worked as an
20Investigator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
21in Las Vegas for six years; in that role, he helped enforce
22federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job
23applicant or an employee because of race, religion, sex, age,

1disability, and other factors; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Deputy U.S. Marshal White was an outstanding
3professional, who was dedicated to eradicating crime from the
4streets of Tucson; he was devoted to making his community and
5the Nation safer; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Deputy U.S. Marshal White is survived by his wife,
7Sue Ellen, and his four children; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Deputy U.S. Marshal Chase Sabethal White and extend our sincere
11condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
12him; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Deputy U. S. Marshal White as an
15expression of our deepest sympathy.
