SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John Anthony Keck of Rock Island, who
4passed away on February 26, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Keck was born in Quincy to George and Lavonne
6Kennedy Keck on October 12, 1941; he attended Quincy High
7School until 1957; he enlisted in the United States Air Force
8at the age of 19; and
 
9    WHEREAS, John Keck worked at Electric Wheel, where he
10developed his skills as a welder; he continued to work as a
11welder at George Evans in Moline and retired in 2001; and
 
12    WHEREAS, John Keck enjoyed visiting with family and
13friends, sitting on his front porch and watching over the
14neighborhood, and spending time with his dog, Lucas; he was an
15avid pool and dart player and a fantastic bowler; he enjoyed
16watching the Chicago Cubs, NASCAR, and golf; and
 
17    WHEREAS, John Keck was preceded in death by his parents;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, John Keck is survived by his wife, Pam; his
20children, Monty (Susan) Robertson, Kim (Steve) Ortiz, Wendy

1(Charlie) Proctor, and Johanna (Sam) Brothers; his
2grandchildren, Ashley Pratt, Alyssa Denato, Bailey Robertson,
3Aly Robertson, Tyler VanWinkle, Carlie Proctor, Sam Hoxsey,
4Nicholas Hoxsey, and Mallory Brothers; his
5great-grandchildren, Jace, Jaxin, and Jerrison; his siblings,
6Sharon (Jim) Otto, Georgian (Bill) Ballard, Bill (Michelle)
7Keck, and Gary (Roxana) Wager; and his many cousins, nieces,
8and nephews; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11John Anthony Keck and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of John Keck as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
