SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William F. "Bill" McCormick Jr. of
4Moline, who passed away on February 23, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill McCormick Jr. was born in Moline to Lavonne
6O. (Wolfe) and William F. McCormick Sr. on December 25, 1929;
7he was raised by his father and stepmother, Ione (Wainwright)
8McCormick; he attended schools in Rock Island and graduated
9from Rocky High in 1947; he served in the United States Army in
10Bingen am Rhien, Germany during the Korean War; he married
11Bonnie J. Lievens on November 5, 1960; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Bill McCormick Jr. retired from the former
13Desaulniers Printing Company after 43 years in the typesetting
14and plate departments; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Bill McCormick Jr. was preceded in death by his
16parents; his wife, Bonnie; his infant twin daughters; his
17sister, Lea Jones; and his half-sister, Frances "Chickie"
18Bollaert; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bill McCormick Jr. is survived by his children,
20Dawn (Julie Brown-McCormick) McCormick and Brad (Bil Ingraham)
21McCormick; his sisters-in-law, Sandy Murrah, Pat Lievens,

1Debbie (Wayne) Sharer, and Pat Lievens; his many nieces and
2nephews; and his dear friends, Helen and Joe Ramirez and the
3Masters-Podlashes family; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6William F. "Bill" McCormick Jr. and extend our sincere
7condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
8him; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Bill McCormick Jr. as an expression
11of our deepest sympathy.
