2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Timothy Ray "Tim" Parker of Fort Jacques, |
4 | | Haiti, formerly of Monticello, who passed away on February 14, |
5 | | 2019; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Tim Parker was born in Danville on August 5, 1970; |
7 | | he graduated from Monticello High School in 1989; he married |
8 | | Melissa Nance-Leach on September 1, 1991; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, In 2010, Tim Parker, along with his wife, went on |
10 | | a weeklong mission trip with Crossroads Church in Monticello to |
11 | | the orphanage God's Littlest Angels (GLA) in Haiti; over the |
12 | | next two years, he led several teams to the orphanage and built |
13 | | relationships with the people of Haiti; in 2012, he, Melissa, |
14 | | and Chelsie moved to Haiti to live and work full time with the |
15 | | orphanage, and he spent the last six years in faithful service |
16 | | to many children and families in the mountains of Haiti; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Tim Parker had a passion for Jeeps and enjoyed |
18 | | going for drives with his family and the Jeep Club; he was |
19 | | committed to his faith and lived his life accordingly; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Tim Parker is survived by his wife, Melissa; his |
21 | | children, Tyler (Rachel) Parker, Chelsie (Steve) Bickel, and |
