SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Timothy Ray "Tim" Parker of Fort Jacques,
4Haiti, formerly of Monticello, who passed away on February 14,
52019; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Tim Parker was born in Danville on August 5, 1970;
7he graduated from Monticello High School in 1989; he married
8Melissa Nance-Leach on September 1, 1991; and
 
9    WHEREAS, In 2010, Tim Parker, along with his wife, went on
10a weeklong mission trip with Crossroads Church in Monticello to
11the orphanage God's Littlest Angels (GLA) in Haiti; over the
12next two years, he led several teams to the orphanage and built
13relationships with the people of Haiti; in 2012, he, Melissa,
14and Chelsie moved to Haiti to live and work full time with the
15orphanage, and he spent the last six years in faithful service
16to many children and families in the mountains of Haiti; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Tim Parker had a passion for Jeeps and enjoyed
18going for drives with his family and the Jeep Club; he was
19committed to his faith and lived his life accordingly; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Tim Parker is survived by his wife, Melissa; his
21children, Tyler (Rachel) Parker, Chelsie (Steve) Bickel, and

1Jamesley Parker; his grandchildren, Merrick, Emmitt, and Baby
2Parker due in July; his parents, Dennis and Inge Parker; his
3brother, Danny (Debbie) Cole; and his sisters, Cathy (Larry
4Sebens) McFeeters and Karla (Mark) Wilson; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Timothy Ray "Tim" Parker and extend our sincere condolences to
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Tim Parker as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
