Amends the State Finance Act. Provides that, as soon as possible after the effective date of the amendatory Act, the State Comptroller shall order transferred and the State Treasurer shall transfer the sum of $5,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Traffic and Criminal Conviction Surcharge Fund. Effective immediately.

| 1 | | AN ACT concerning finance.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 6z-11.6 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (30 ILCS 105/6z-11.6 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 6z-11.6. Transfers from the General Revenue Fund to |
| 8 | | the Traffic and Criminal Conviction Surcharge Fund. As soon as |
| 9 | | possible after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the |
| 10 | | 101st General Assembly, the State Comptroller shall order |
| 11 | | transferred and the State Treasurer shall transfer the sum of |
| 12 | | $5,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Traffic and |
| 13 | | Criminal Conviction Surcharge Fund.

| 14 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
