AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2067 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2067 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:


 
4    "Section 5. The Educational Credit for Military Experience 
5Act is amended by adding Section 20 as follows:
 
6    (110 ILCS 32/20 new)
7    Sec. 20. Credit for military training; University of 
8Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
9    (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, 
10beginning with the 2020-2021 academic year, the University of 
11Illinois at Urbana-Champaign must award a student who transfers 
12to the University academic credit for military training if 
13another college or university that is a member of the Big Ten 
14Conference would award that same student academic credit. If 
15applicable, the University must award the student the minimum 
16amount of academic credit the University of Michigan at Ann

1Arbor or Purdue University at West Lafayette awards for 
2military training.
3    (b) The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign must 
4review all of the following before awarding a student academic 
5credit under this Section, if applicable:
6        (1) The student's Joint Services Transcript.
7        (2) Confirmation of the student's attendance at the 
8    Community College of the Air Force.
9        (3) Academic credit recommendations from the Defense 
10    Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support.
11        (4) The student's Defense Activity for Non-Traditional 
12    Education Support Subject Standardized Tests exam scores.
13        (5) Any of the student's completed College-Level 
14    Examination Program exams.".
