| 3 | | with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. |
| 4 | | 1, on page 4, by replacing lines 1 through 20 with the |
| 5 | | following:
|
| 6 | | "(a) As used in this Section, "familial relationship" means |
| 7 | | an individual's father, mother, son, daughter, brother, |
| 8 | | sister, uncle, aunt, great aunt, great uncle, first cousin, |
| 9 | | nephew, niece, husband, wife, grandfather, grandmother, |
| 10 | | grandson, granddaughter, father-in-law, mother-in-law, |
| 11 | | son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, |
| 12 | | stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, |
| 13 | | stepsister, half-brother, half-sister, and the father, mother, |
| 14 | | grandfather, or grandmother of the individual's spouse and the |
| 15 | | individual's fiance or fiancee. |
| 16 | | (b) A county may deny, suspend, or terminate the |
| 17 | | eligibility of a person, firm, corporation, association, |
|

| 1 | | agency, institution, or other legal entity to participate as a |
| 2 | | vendor of goods or services to the county if the vendor, for |
| 3 | | contracts greater than $30,000, fails to disclose to the county |
| 4 | | a familial relationship between a county elected official or |
| 5 | | county department director and any of the following individuals |
| 6 | | who have the authority to act on behalf of and with the power |
| 7 | | to bind the respective person, firm, corporation, association, |
| 8 | | agency, institution, or other legal entity: a corporate |
| 9 | | officer; a member of the corporate board of directors; a |
| 10 | | limited liability company manager; a member with management |
| 11 | | authority of a limited liability company; or a partner of a |
| 12 | | partnership. |
| 13 | | (c) If a person, firm, corporation, association, agency, |
| 14 | | institution, or other legal entity seeking to contract with the |
| 15 | | county has a familial relationship required to be disclosed |
| 16 | | under subsection (b), then the contract may be approved or |
| 17 | | renewed by roll call vote of the county board following a |
| 18 | | recitation of the name of the county official and the nature of |
| 19 | | the familial relationship being disclosed."; and
|
| 20 | | on page 4, line 23, by replacing "5" with "10"; and
|
| 21 | | on page 4, line 24, by replacing "county clerk" with "county |
| 22 | | board chairperson, county board president, or county |
| 23 | | executive".
