SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
20 ILCS 405/405-122

    Amends the Department of Central Management Services Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that each State agency shall designate one or more persons with hiring responsibilities to annually attend a presentation provided by the Department of Central Management Services regarding programs created by the Department that were developed and implemented to increase the number of qualified employees with disabilities working in the State. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Department of Central Management Services
5Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by
6changing Section 405-122 as follows:
 
7    (20 ILCS 405/405-122)
8    Sec. 405-122. Employees with a disability. The Department,
9in cooperation with the Department of Human Services, the
10Department of Employment Security, and other agencies of State
11government shall develop and implement programs to increase the
12number of qualified employees with disabilities working in the
13State. The programs shall include provisions to increase the
14number of people with a disability hired for positions with
15specific job titles for which they have been assessed and
16awarded a passing grade. Each State agency shall designate one
17or more persons with hiring responsibilities to annually attend
18a presentation provided by the Department regarding the
19programs created under this Section. The Department and the
20Department of Human Services must submit a report, annually, to
21the Governor and the General Assembly concerning their actions
22under this Section.
