6 | | The program must, at a minimum, be a 9-month program and use a |
7 | | credit-hour system.

8 | | (b) The public community college district may accept the |
9 | | credits as direct equivalent credits or prior learning credits, |
10 | | as determined by the district and consistent with the |
11 | | accrediting standards and institutional and residency |
12 | | requirements of the Board, the Higher Learning Commission, |
13 | | other State and national accreditors, and State licensing |
14 | | bodies, as appropriate. |
15 | | (c) Any designation given by Board of credit hour value for |
16 | | items (1) through (6) under subsection (a) shall be applied by |
17 | | the community college district as direct or elective credit |
18 | | toward an associate degree of applied science or its equivalent |
19 | | as determined by the community college district. |
