1 | | the Illinois National Guard when called to active duty,

2 | | disaster-related expenses of State Agencies and
Departments, |
3 | | and for the emergency purchase or renting of
equipment and |
4 | | commodities. The fund shall be used for furnishing
emergency |
5 | | services and relief to the disaster area as a whole and shall

6 | | not be used to provide private relief to persons sustaining |
7 | | property
damages or personal injury as a result of a disaster.

8 | | (b) As soon as practical after the effective date of this |
9 | | amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly, the State |
10 | | Comptroller shall direct and the State Treasurer shall transfer |
11 | | $5,900,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Disaster |
12 | | Response and Recovery Fund to meet the State's cost sharing |
13 | | obligations with the Federal Emergency Management Agency under |
14 | | the federal Assistance to Individuals and Households Program |
15 | | pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 5174. |
16 | | (c) As soon as practical after the effective date of this |
17 | | amendatory Act of the 101st General Assembly, the State |
18 | | Comptroller shall direct and the State Treasurer shall transfer |
19 | | no more than $250,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the |
20 | | Disaster Response and Recovery Fund to be utilized by local |
21 | | governments and political subdivisions in Christian County for |
22 | | reimbursement of eligible disaster costs as defined by the |
23 | | federal public assistance program to provide disaster relief in |
24 | | relation to damage resulting from a tornado occurring in |
25 | | Christian County on December 1, 2018. |
