2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Pastor RW |
4 | | "Robert" Randle of Peoria, who passed away on June 20, 2020; |
5 | | and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Randle was born in Cruger, Mississippi to |
7 | | Nathaniel and Lizzy B. (Reedy) Randle on April 12, 1940; he |
8 | | received his formal education in Mississippi; he received his |
9 | | Associate in Applied Science from Illinois Central College; he |
10 | | earned his Bachelor of Arts from Sangamon State University; he |
11 | | married Dorothy Mae Mines on October 2, 1960; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Randle moved to Peoria in 1955; he held a |
13 | | variety of positions and later went to work at Caterpillar Inc, |
14 | | retiring in 1996; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Randle was a long-time deacon and chairman |
16 | | of the Deacon Board at New Morning Star M.B. Church, which was |
17 | | under the leadership of the late Dr. Calvin Hightower; he |
18 | | accepted his calling into the ministry on June 13, 1997; he |
19 | | founded Higher Dimensions Praise and Worship Church in Peoria |
20 | | on December 24, 2000; and
|
21 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Randle became the CEO of the Peoria Palace |

1 | | Skating Rink in March of 2003; and
|
2 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Randle worked with the Peoria Tri-County |
3 | | Urban League; he ministered at the Peoria County Jail and |
4 | | various nursing homes around the city; he enjoyed jogging, |
5 | | working in the yard, and tending to the skating rink; he loved |
6 | | his hospital ministry and helping others; and
|
7 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Randle was preceded in death by his |
8 | | parents; his sisters, Rutha Mae Randle Sargent and Liz Randle |
9 | | Lobdell; and his brothers, Frank "Sonny" Randle and Jimmy |
10 | | "Bopeep" Randle; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Randle is survived by his wife, First Lady |
12 | | Dorothy M. Randle; his children, Verna Lesi Randle, Robert |
13 | | LaMarr (Zipporah) Randle, and DeAndre Ladell Randle (Melissa |
14 | | Clemons); his grandchildren, Rev. Marcus Howard, Nicholas |
15 | | (Brittney) Howard, Ashtin Howard, MeKeisha Howard, British |
16 | | Randle, Drelyn Randle, LJ Randle Jr., and Nala Davis; his |
17 | | great-grandchildren, Marcus Foreman, Malachai Howard, Josiah |
18 | | Howard, Nya Howard, Nicholas Howard, Ca'Liyah Williams, |
19 | | Jailynn Lawrence, Jason Lawrence, and Phoenixx Howard; his |
20 | | brothers, Nathaniel Randle Jr., Charles (Mary Ann) Randle, L.A. |
21 | | (Linda Faye) Randle, and Robert (Cassie) Harris; his sisters, |
22 | | Nancy Moredock and Leola Jefferson; and his sister-in-law, Joan |
23 | | Randle; therefore, be it

1 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
2 | | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
3 | | we mourn the passing of Pastor RW "Robert" Randle and extend |
4 | | our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who |
5 | | knew and loved him; and be it further

6 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
7 | | presented to the family of Pastor RW Randle as an expression of |
8 | | our deepest sympathy.
