4 | | Patton, who passed away on January 28, 2020; and

5 | | WHEREAS, James Patton was a retired colonel in the U.S. |
6 | | Army and a World War II veteran; and

7 | | WHEREAS, James Patton was retired lieutenant with the |
8 | | Chicago Police Department; at the age of 94, he still worked as |
9 | | office manager of Patton Motor Service; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, James Patton was a member of the Military Officers |
11 | | Association of America; most recently, he was a parishioner at |
12 | | St. Julie Billiart in Tinley Park; before that, he was a |
13 | | parishioner of St. Barnabas Parish in Beverly; and |
14 | | WHEREAS, In 2019, James Patton was honored before a Chicago |
15 | | White Sox game as "Hero of the Day"; and
|
16 | | WHEREAS, James Patton was the beloved husband for 71 years |
17 | | of Eileen (Quagliano); the loving father of Kathleen (the late |
18 | | Greg) Gora, Eileen (Michael) Havey, Madonna (the late Ken) |
19 | | Halicki, Maureen (the late Bill) Lash, James (Cookie), Pat |
20 | | (Colleen), John Ret. CFD (Candy) Patton, and Amy (Greg) Preves; |
