3 | | system disorder that affects movement; symptoms start |
4 | | gradually, sometimes starting with a barely noticeable tremor |
5 | | in just one hand; additional symptoms may include slowed |
6 | | movement, rigid muscles, impaired posture and balance, loss of |
7 | | automatic movements, speech changes, and writing changes; and

8 | | WHEREAS, The signs and symptoms of Parkinson's disease can |
9 | | be different for everyone; early signs may be mild and go |
10 | | unnoticed; and

11 | | WHEREAS, The cause of Parkinson's disease is unknown, and |
12 | | therefore, proven ways to prevent the disease also remain a |
13 | | mystery; and

14 | | WHEREAS, Approximately 60,000 Americans are diagnosed with |
15 | | Parkinson's disease each year, and an estimated 7 to 10 million |
16 | | people are living with the disease worldwide; and

17 | | WHEREAS, Although Parkinson's disease cannot be cured, |
18 | | medications might significantly improve one's symptoms; early |
19 | | detection is key; therefore, be it
