4 | | our ability to find cures for and adequately treat individuals |
5 | | who are afflicted with a variety of illnesses, including |
6 | | pulmonary hypertension; and

7 | | WHEREAS, Pulmonary hypertension is a rare disorder causing |
8 | | intolerable blood pressure levels in the arteries between the |
9 | | lungs and heart; and

10 | | WHEREAS, Pulmonary hypertension is chronic and incurable |
11 | | and has a poor survival rate; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Symptoms of pulmonary hypertension may include |
13 | | chest pain, dizziness, fainting, fatigue, swollen legs and |
14 | | ankles, and irregular heartbeat; and

15 | | WHEREAS, Early diagnosis can lead to early treatment and |
16 | | the possibility of an improved quality of life; and |
17 | | WHEREAS, Education can help with early diagnosis, and |
18 | | funding for research can help find a cure; and
