2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the Stokovich Family on 70 |
4 | | years of providing specialized care for older adults; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, In 1949, Slavko and Dorothy Stokovich originally |
6 | | started with an assisted living community in Lake Villa; in |
7 | | 1977, they built Libertyville Manor on Peterson Road in |
8 | | Libertyville; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Brothers John and Milan Stokovich are committed to |
10 | | continuing the family tradition of providing care with respect |
11 | | and dignity, started by their late parents and their late |
12 | | brother Nick; the same "family caring for family" care |
13 | | continues with a dedicated staff, many of whom have been |
14 | | providing services for residents and their families for |
15 | | decades; the facility provides senior day care, respite stays, |
16 | | independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled |
17 | | care being offered 24 hours per day and 7 days per week; and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, The Young At Heart Preschool and Day Care was |
19 | | opened in 1989 and continues to offer programming and care for |
20 | | six week olds through age six; intergenerational programming |
21 | | and activities can be seen regularly in the interaction between |
22 | | the children from Young At Heart and the "Grandmas and |
