2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Anna |
4 | | Muriel Trotter, who passed away on June 19, 2019; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Anna Muriel Trotter was born in Meridian, |
6 | | Mississippi to Napoleon and Annie Mack-Carter on April 15 1926; |
7 | | she received her formal education at T.J. Harris High School in |
8 | | Meridian, Mississippi; at a young age, she migrated to Chicago |
9 | | and married U.M. Brown Sr., who preceded her in death; she |
10 | | later married Ralph B. Trotter, who also preceded her in death; |
11 | | she graduated from the Scientific School of Beauty Culture in |
12 | | the 1960s; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Anna Muriel Trotter worked as a beautician; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Anna Muriel Trotter committed to her faith at an |
15 | | early age; she often attended the Living Word Christian Center |
16 | | with her daughter, Linda; she enjoyed traveling from coast to |
17 | | coast; she loved her family; she was independent, energetic, |
18 | | and highly motivated and encouraged her children to pursue |
19 | | their dreams; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Anna Muriel Trotter was preceded in death by her |
21 | | parents; her daughter, Brenda Joyce Brown; and her sisters, |
|

2 | | WHEREAS, Anna Muriel Trotter is survived by her children, |
3 | | ChrysAnthony Sharp, U.M. (Barbara) Brown Jr., Linda (Charles) |
4 | | Smith-Baker, and Chere Martin; her grandchildren, Jeaneen, |
5 | | Stephanie, Lauren, Lawrence, Shonaveve, Dale, Kimberly, and |
6 | | Anthony; her great-grandchildren, Reginald II, Ashley, Alex, |
7 | | Angel, Tramell, Montrell, Laila, Pierre, Chelsey, Amari, |
8 | | Chase, Anthony Jr., King, Maliah, Mya, Lana, Kaila, and Carter; |
9 | | her great-great-grandchildren, Zenaria, Zehara, Reginald III, |
10 | | Kaly, Zoye, Treasure, Paris, London, Lavelle, and two expected |
11 | | in 2019; her nieces and nephew, Faye Brown, Bettie (Stanley) |
12 | | Brown-Nunally, and James Brown; and many cousins, distant |
13 | | family members, and friends; therefore, be it

14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
15 | | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
16 | | we mourn the passing of Anna Muriel Trotter and extend our |
17 | | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew |
18 | | and loved her; and be it further

19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
20 | | presented to the family of Anna Muriel Trotter as an expression |
21 | | of our deepest sympathy.
