HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of John
4Terence Tretter of Edwardsville, who passed away on May 12,
52019; and
 
6    WHEREAS, John Tretter was born in Alton to Michael and
7Lorraine Brodie Tretter; he married Mary L. Henderson at St.
8Kevin Catholic Church in Rosewood Heights on April 16, 1966;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, John Tretter worked as a police officer with the
11Edwardsville Police Department; he retired as a shift commander
12in 2001 after 30 years of service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, John Tretter enjoyed the outdoors, fishing,
14hunting, and camping; and
 
15    WHEREAS, John Tretter was preceded in death by his parents;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, John Tretter is survived by his wife, Mary; his
18daughters, Kory (Joedy) Saffel, Tina Jacobsen, and Dana (Todd)
19Brakhane; his grandchildren, Maddisen, Jackson, McKinley,
20Eric, Luke, Meghan, and Benjamin; his brother, Albert (Cynthia)

1Tretter; and his sisters, Marilyn (Bob) Nenninger and Claire
2(David) Bauer; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
4HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
5we mourn the passing of John Terence Tretter and extend our
6sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
7and loved him; and be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of John Tretter as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
