HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Brad Gould on being 
4elected
as the Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Illinois 
5State Commander on June 15, 2019; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Brad Gould works as a Veteran Service Officer for 
7the Champaign County Veterans Assistance
Commission; he helps 
8veterans file claims with the Veterans Administration and can 
9help veterans with the GI Bill and VA loans; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, In
December 2018, Brad Gould was honored as one of 
11the Bicentennial HONOR 200 by the Illinois Department of 
12Veterans' Affairs and the Illinois Bicentennial Office; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, On August 10, 2019, the Veterans of Foreign Wars 
14will hold a Council of Administration, along
with the Auxiliary 
15in Bloomington, where members of the VFW from all over the 
16State will  honor Brad Gould and the State Auxiliary President; 
17and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Since his retirement from the U.S. Air Force, Brad 
19Gould has dedicated himself to helping  veterans; he will spend 
20his free time traveling the State in support of  veterans; 
21therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate Brad Gould on being elected
as the Veterans of 
4Foreign Wars Department of Illinois State Commander, and we 
5wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Brad Gould as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
