2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the
death of DeKalb | ||||||
4 | County Assistant State's Attorney Stacia Hollinshead, who | ||||||
5 | passed away on
March 23, 2019; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Stacia Hollinshead was born on August 20, 1988 in | ||||||
7 | Effingham to parents John and Ann
Webster Hollinshead and grew | ||||||
8 | up with three sisters and one brother in rural Dieterich; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, From an early age, Stacia Hollinshead was a | ||||||
10 | tenacious, passionate, and ambitious young woman,
always eager | ||||||
11 | to help others; upon graduation from Dieterich High School in | ||||||
12 | 2007, she enlisted in the United States Army and served 11 | ||||||
13 | years as an Intelligence Analyst; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Stacia Hollinshead graduated from Northern | ||||||
15 | Illinois University College of Law with a Juris Doctor;
during | ||||||
16 | her time at NIU, she was an editor of the College of Law's Law | ||||||
17 | Review and a member of
Phi Alpha Delta; and | ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, During her time in law school, Stacia Hollinshead | ||||||
19 | continued to have a passion for helping others, involving | ||||||
20 | herself with
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) in both | ||||||
21 | Kane and Effingham Counties; and |

1 | WHEREAS, As an Assistant State's Attorney in DeKalb County, | ||||||
2 | Stacia Hollinshead made a positive impact on
the lives of many | ||||||
3 | people in her community and was universally liked and | ||||||
4 | well-respected; and | ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, On a personal level, Stacia Hollinshead enjoyed | ||||||
6 | the outdoors, visiting state parks, and attending the Rockford | ||||||
7 | and Chicago Symphony Orchestras; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Above all else, Stacia Hollinshead loved being a | ||||||
9 | mother to her five-year old daughter, Odyssia;
her daughter, | ||||||
10 | Stacia's parents, her siblings, and numerous relatives are | ||||||
11 | heartbroken and saddened at their untimely loss; therefore, be | ||||||
12 | it
| ||||||
13 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
14 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
15 | that we mourn the death of DeKalb County Assistant State's | ||||||
16 | Attorney
Stacia Hollinshead and extend our sincere condolences | ||||||
17 | to her family, friends, and all who knew
and loved her; and be | ||||||
18 | it further

19 | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | ||||||
20 | presented to John and Ann Hollinshead,
Stacia's beloved | ||||||
21 | parents, and her family.
