HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate the West
4Lincoln-Broadwell Elementary School 7th grade girls basketball
5team, the Lady Wolverines, on winning the 2018-19 Illinois
6Elementary School Association Class 1A State Championship by
7defeating Wallace Grade School 52 to 20; and
 
8    WHEREAS, The 7th grade Lady Wolverines ended the regular
9season with a record of 23 wins and zero losses; they went on
10to complete an undefeated season with 29 wins and zero losses;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, The 7th grade Lady Wolverines won the Taylorville
13Tournament Championship and were the 2018 Logan County
14Champions; and
 
15    WHEREAS, The 7th grade Lady Wolverines are Becca Heitzig,
16Kloe Froebe, Jenna Bowman, Tori Geriets, Regan Goodey, Alyssa
17Bishop, Alison Turner, Piper Whiteman, Jane Turner, Emma Baker,
18Rebecca Burge, Mesa McCloud, Grace Schneider, Lily Holmes, Mia
19Clark, Marin Luckhart, Myah Bowman, Dabria Dalpoas, Amaya
20Randall, Madison Kurka, and Jayden Behrends; and
 
21    WHEREAS, The team managers for the 7th grade Lady

1Wolverines are Addie Farmer, Kendall Long, and Kruz Froebe; and
 
2    WHEREAS, The coaching staff for the 7th grade Lady
3Wolverines are assistant coaches Ashley Paulus and Cory Farmer
4and Head Coach Kari Froebe; and
 
5    WHEREAS, The 7th grade Lady Wolverines are a special group
6of athletes, coached by one of the best basketball coaches in
7the state, Kari Froebe; in Coach Froebe's tenth year coaching
8the Lady Wolverines, she has guided her teams to five state
9championships, a runner-up finish, and one third place finish;
10therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
12HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13we congratulate the West Lincoln-Broadwell Elementary School
147th grade girls basketball team, the Lady Wolverines, on
15winning the 2018-19 Illinois Elementary School Association
16Class 1A State Championship, and we commend them for their hard
17work on and off the court, their dedicated coaching staff
18leading the team, their perfect season, and their outstanding
19teamwork; and be it further
 
20    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
21presented to each 7th grade Lady Wolverine, their parents, and
22the coaching staff.
