HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Vincenzo
4D'Argento of Norridge, who passed away on March 4, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Vincenzo D'Argento immigrated from Italy to
6Chicago with his family in 1971; in 1977, he moved to Norridge,
7where he and his wife have lived ever since; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Vincenzo D'Argento worked tirelessly to support
9his family as a candy maker on the assembly line at Brach's
10candy from 1971 until his retirement in 2004; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Vincenzo D'Argento spent his retirement years
12working alongside his youngest son Nuccio and supporting the
13growth of RoccoVino's, the successful restaurants owned by
14Nuccio and his lifelong friend and business partner; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Vincenzo D'Argento was an active member of the
16Maria SS Della Crocce di Triggiano for 20 years, an avid
17supporter of Easterseals Metropolitan Chicago, and a lifelong
18Catholic; he raised his family to understand faith, respect,
19hard work, and determination; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Vincenzo D'Argento was the cherished husband of

1Angela Lina (Spilotro), the beloved father of Angela (Vince)
2Gloria, Frank D'Argento, Joe D'Argento, and Savino Nuccio
3(Laura) D'Argento, the loving grandfather of Vincent J.
4D'Argento, Anthony J. Gloria, Michael S. (Amanda) Gloria,
5Krystyna, Gianna, Vincenzo, Angelina, and the late Anthony
6Michael D'Argento, the loving great-grandfather of Joey,
7Dominic, Lahna, Elsie, Pino, and Mia, the dear brother of
8Filomena Mola, Peter d'Argento, Michael D'Argento, the late
9Savino D'Argento, and the late Agnese Mastrolonardo, and the
10fond uncle and godfather of many; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
12HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13we mourn the passing of Vincenzo D'Argento and extend our
14sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
15and loved him; and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Vincenzo D'Argento as an expression
18of our deepest sympathy.
