2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Vincenzo |
4 | | D'Argento of Norridge, who passed away on March 4, 2019; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Vincenzo D'Argento immigrated from Italy to |
6 | | Chicago with his family in 1971; in 1977, he moved to Norridge, |
7 | | where he and his wife have lived ever since; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Vincenzo D'Argento worked tirelessly to support |
9 | | his family as a candy maker on the assembly line at Brach's |
10 | | candy from 1971 until his retirement in 2004; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Vincenzo D'Argento spent his retirement years |
12 | | working alongside his youngest son Nuccio and supporting the |
13 | | growth of RoccoVino's, the successful restaurants owned by |
14 | | Nuccio and his lifelong friend and business partner; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Vincenzo D'Argento was an active member of the |
16 | | Maria SS Della Crocce di Triggiano for 20 years, an avid |
17 | | supporter of Easterseals Metropolitan Chicago, and a lifelong |
18 | | Catholic; he raised his family to understand faith, respect, |
19 | | hard work, and determination; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Vincenzo D'Argento was the cherished husband of |

11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
12 | | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
13 | | we mourn the passing of Vincenzo D'Argento and extend our |
14 | | sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew |
15 | | and loved him; and be it further

17 | | presented to the family of Vincenzo D'Argento as an expression |
18 | | of our deepest sympathy.
