HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Jacksonville
4Middle School Cheerleaders, the Crimsons, on winning the 2018
5Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Large Cheer
6Division Championship; and
 
7    WHEREAS, On January 12, 2019, the Crimsons competed for the
8first time in the Large Cheer Division; a total of 67 teams in
9multiple divisions competed in Peoria, with eight teams
10competing in the Large Cheer Division; and
 
11    WHEREAS, The Crimsons won their first Large Cheer Division
12title with an overall score of 89.73; this is the team's second
13title for Turner Junior High, Jacksonville Middle School
14cheerleading; the Crimsons previously won the small Cheer
15division in 2012; and
 
16    WHEREAS, The Crimsons are coached by Cheer Coach, Emily
17Hudson; and
 
18    WHEREAS, The eighth grade Crimsons are Rylee Brogdon,
19Claire Burrus, Meredith Gallo, Leah Hoffman, and Kayleigh
20Sullivan; and

1    WHEREAS, The seventh grade Crimsons are Bentley Clayton,
2Kimmy Davis, Mackenzie Gerard, Bella Summers, Elle Van Noy, and
3Julia Zoellner; and
 
4    WHEREAS, The sixth grade Crimsons are Taylor Deweese,
5Annemarie Fraas, Madison Helmich, Brennen Leifheit, Ella
6Rajaguru, Olivia Stewart, and Isla Willis; and
 
7    WHEREAS, The Crimsons serve as models of hard work,
8perseverance, and excellent team spirit for the people of the
9State; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
11HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we congratulate and applaud the Jacksonville Middle School
13Cheerleaders, the Crimsons, on winning the 2018 Illinois
14Elementary School Association (IESA) Large Cheer Division
15Championship, and we wish them many more successful seasons;
16and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to Jacksonville Crimsons Cheer Coach Emily Hudson and
19all members of the 2018 Jacksonville Middle School Cheerleading
20Team.
