Proposes to amend the Executive Article of the Illinois Constitution. Provides that a person may not be elected to any single Executive Branch office for more than two terms in each office; service before the second Monday in January of 2023 shall not be considered in the calculation of a person's service. Effective upon being declared adopted.

6 | | electors of the State for adoption or rejection at the general |
7 | | election next occurring at least 6 months after the adoption of |
8 | | this resolution a proposition to amend Section 2 of Article V |
9 | | of the Illinois Constitution as follows:

13 | | SECTION 2. TERMS
|
14 | | These elected officers of the Executive Branch shall hold |
15 | | office for
four years beginning on the second Monday of January |
16 | | after their
election and, except in the case of the Lieutenant |
17 | | Governor, until their
successors are qualified. They shall be |
18 | | elected at the general election
in 1978 and every four years |
19 | | thereafter. A person may not be elected to any single Executive |
