SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $24,342,458 to the Office of the State Appellate Defender for its ordinance and contingent expenses. Appropriates $178,000 to the Office of the State Appellate Defender for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Expungement Program. Appropriates $400,000 to the Office of the State Appellate Defender to develop a Juvenile Defender Resource Center. Appropriates $70,000 to the Office of the State Appellate Defender to provide statewide training to public defenders under the Public Defender Training Program. Effective July 1, 2020.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much of those amounts as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes named, are appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Office of the State Appellate Defender:
For Personal Services.......................... $18,789,942
For State Contributions to Social Security....... 1,437,430
For Contractual Services......................... 2,929,286
For Travel.......................................... 43,800
For Commodities..................................... 27,000
For Printing........................................ 28,000
For Equipment....................................... 54,000
For EDP............................................ 990,000
For Telecommunications.............................. 43,000
Total $24,342,458
Section 10. The amount of $178,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Office of the State Appellate Defender for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Expungement Program.
Section 15. The amount $70,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Office of the State Appellate Defender to provide statewide training to Public Defenders under the Public Defender Training Program.
Section 20. The amount of $400,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from General Revenue Fund to the Office of the State Appellate Defender to develop a Juvenile Defender Resource Center.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2020.
