Amends the Video Gaming Act. Requires that by January 1, 2022, video gaming terminals shall include a mechanism into which a player must insert his or her driver's license to check the identity of the player against the Illinois Gaming Board's self-exclusion list and not let the player participate if the player is on the list. Requires the Illinois Gaming Board to adopt rules by January 1, 2021. Effective immediately.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Video Gaming
Act is amended by adding |
5 | | Section 23 as follows: |
6 | | (230 ILCS 40/23 new) |
7 | | Sec. 23. Video gaming terminal restrictions for |
8 | | self-exclusion list. |
9 | | (a) By January 1, 2022, a video gaming terminal shall |
10 | | include a mechanism into which a player must insert his or her |
11 | | driver's license that shall check the identity of the player |
12 | | against the Board's self-exclusion list and not let the player |
13 | | participate if the player is on the list. |
14 | | (b) The Board shall adopt rules to administer the |
15 | | provisions of this Section on or before January 1, 2021.

16 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
17 | | becoming law.
