Amends the Dual Credit Quality Act. Provides that a community college district shall, upon the request of a school district within the jurisdiction of the community college district, enter into a partnership agreement with the school district to offer dual credit coursework for students with intellectual disabilities. Provides that courses shall include, if appropriate, support outlined in the student's individualized education program and support provided under a significantly modified curriculum. Effective immediately.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Dual Credit Quality Act is amended by adding |
5 | | Section 40 as follows: |
6 | | (110 ILCS 27/40 new) |
7 | | Sec. 40. Students with intellectual disabilities. A |
8 | | community college district shall, upon the request of a school |
9 | | district within the jurisdiction of the community college |
10 | | district, enter into a partnership agreement with the school |
11 | | district to offer dual credit coursework for students with |
12 | | intellectual disabilities. Courses shall include, if |
13 | | appropriate, support outlined in the student's individualized |
14 | | education program under Article 14 of the School Code and |
15 | | support provided under a significantly modified curriculum.

16 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
17 | | becoming law.
