SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $1,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for grants to the African American Family Commission. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for grants to the African American Family Commission to investigate, research, create publications, and maintain a website that represents the contributions of African Americans in Illinois, and to research, develop, and advocate for improvements and measures that will improve social factors in the African American community.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
