SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $26,000,000 to the State Board of Education for the purpose of providing a grant to City of Chicago School District 299 to employ individuals licensed as school nurses to provide health care-related services to students in the district and to eliminate any contracts with outside entities entered into to provide nurses for the district’s schools. Effective July 1, 2019.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $26,000,000, or as much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for the purpose of providing a grant to City of Chicago School District 299 to employ individuals licensed as school nurses under the School Code to provide health care-related services to students in the school district and to eliminate any contracts with outside entities entered into to provide nurses for the district’s schools.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2019.
