Amends Public Act 94-653. Authorizes the Department of Human Services to grant and convey a permanent conservation easement to any entity in addition to the Department of Natural Resources that the Department of Human Services deems appropriate. Effective immediately.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. "AN ACT concerning civil law", approved August |
5 | | 22, 2005, Public Act 94-653, is amended by changing Section 5 |
6 | | as follows: |
7 | | (P.A. 94-653, Sec. 5)

8 | | Sec. 5. The Illinois Department of Human Services is hereby |
9 | | authorized to grant and convey a permanent conservation |
10 | | easement to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources or any |
11 | | entity the Department of Human Services deems appropriate on a |
12 | | parcel containing 30 acres, more
or less, that is located in |
13 | | Section 18, Township 40 North, Range 13 East of the third |
14 | | principal meridian, Cook County, Illinois, situated to the West |
15 | | and South of the Chicago Read Mental Health Center, for the |
16 | | purpose of preserving and protecting the wetlands and forested |
17 | | area for the benefit of the patients of the
facility, the |
18 | | community, and the general public, this 30-acre parcel being |
19 | | more
particularly described under Section 10 of this Act.
