Amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Requires the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to make expedited payments to long-term care facilities if at least 60% of their residents are eligible for medical assistance.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 16.5a as follows:
|
| 6 | | (305 ILCS 5/16.5a new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 16.5a. Expedited payments; long-term care facilities. |
| 8 | | Notwithstanding any other rule or law, the Department shall |
| 9 | | make expedited payments to a long-term care facility if at |
| 10 | | least 60% of its residents are eligible for medical assistance |
| 11 | | under this Article.
