1 | | provides a statement regarding food allergies on its menu that |
2 | | was approved in another state before the effective date of this |
3 | | amendatory Act of the 101st General Assembly. |
4 | | (d) A multi-state business or a franchisee, as that term is |
5 | | defined in the Franchise Disclosure Act of 1987, meets the |
6 | | requirements of this Section if the multi-state business or |
7 | | franchisee has an internal policy that requires a notice |
8 | | regarding allergies to be displayed or a statement regarding |
9 | | food allergies to be provided on the menu. |
10 | | (e) On or before January 1, 2020, the Department of Public |
11 | | Health shall create and make available on its website for |
12 | | download the notice required to be displayed under subsection |
13 | | (a) of this Section. |
14 | | (f) From the effective date of this amendatory Act of the |
15 | | 101st General Assembly through July 1, 2020, enforcement of |
16 | | this Section shall be limited to education and notification of |
17 | | the requirements of this Section to encourage compliance.

18 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
19 | | becoming law.".
