Amends the Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act. Provides that a restaurant must prominently display signage indicating to guests and employees that any information regarding food allergies must be communicated to the restaurant's food service sanitation manager. Provides that the food service manager shall be responsible for displaying the signage. Effective January 1, 2020.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act is |
5 | | amended by adding Section 3.08 as follows: |
6 | | (410 ILCS 625/3.08 new) |
7 | | Sec. 3.08. Signage. A restaurant must prominently display |
8 | | signage indicating to guests and employees that any information |
9 | | regarding food allergies must be communicated to the |
10 | | restaurant's food service sanitation manager. The food service |
11 | | manager shall be responsible for displaying the signage.

12 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January |
13 | | 1, 2020.
