| 3 | | replacing everything after the enacting clause with the |
| 4 | | following:

| 5 | | "Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by adding Section |
| 6 | | 5-43027 as follows:

| 7 | | (55 ILCS 5/5-43027 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 5-43027. Representation at hearings. In counties with |
| 9 | | a population of 3,000,000 or more, a corporation, limited |
| 10 | | liability, or limited liability partnership company may appear |
| 11 | | at an administrative hearing proceeding through any of the |
| 12 | | following individuals who have the authority to act on behalf |
| 13 | | of and with power to bind the respective corporation, limited |
| 14 | | liability company, or limited liability partnership: a |
| 15 | | corporate officer, a member of the corporate board of |
| 16 | | directors, a limited liability company manager, a member with |

| 1 | | management authority of a limited liability company, or a |
| 2 | | partner of a limited liability partnership. Nothing in this |
| 3 | | Section may be construed to permit appearances by any such |
| 4 | | individual in contested property tax proceedings.

| 5 | | Section 10. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
| 6 | | adding Section 1-2.1-5.5 as follows:

| 8 | | Sec. 1-2.1-5.5. Representation at hearings. A corporation, |
| 9 | | limited liability, or limited liability partnership company |
| 10 | | may appear at an administrative hearing proceeding through any |
| 11 | | of the following individuals who have the authority to act on |
| 12 | | behalf of and with power to bind the respective corporation, |
| 13 | | limited liability company, or limited liability partnership: a |
| 14 | | corporate officer, a member of the corporate board of |
| 15 | | directors, a limited liability company manager, a member with |
| 16 | | management authority of a limited liability company, or a |
| 17 | | partner of a limited liability partnership. Nothing in this |
| 18 | | Section may be construed to permit appearances by any such |
| 19 | | individual in contested property tax proceedings.

| 20 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 21 | | becoming law.".
