Amends the Park District Code. Provides that a park district may enter into a lease for a period of not to exceed 8 years (rather than 5 years) for equipment and machinery after an affirmative vote of two-thirds of the governing board of the park district. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Park District Code is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 8-13 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (70 ILCS 1205/8-13) (from Ch. 105, par. 8-13)

| 7 | | Sec. 8-13.
In addition to the other powers and authority |
| 8 | | now possessed by
it, every park district may enter into a lease |
| 9 | | for a period of not to
exceed 8 5 years for such equipment and |
| 10 | | machinery as may be required for
corporate purposes when |
| 11 | | authorized by the affirmative vote of two-thirds of
the |
| 12 | | governing board of the park district.
