| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 8-3-5 as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 8-3-5.
All taxes levied by a municipality, except |
| 8 | | special assessments
for local improvements, shall be uniform |
| 9 | | upon all taxable property and

persons within the limits of |

exempt therefrom |
| 11 | | other than such property as may be exempt from taxation
under |
