| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 823, AS AMENDED, in |
| 3 | | Section 5, Sec. 2310-218, by replacing subsection (a) with the |
| 4 | | following:

| 5 | | "(a) As used in this Section, "phlebotomist" means a person |
| 6 | | specifically trained to draw blood for diagnostic purposes in a |
| 7 | | health care setting."; and
|
| 8 | | in Section 5, Sec. 2310-218, immediately below subsection (c), |
| 9 | | by inserting the following: |
| 10 | | "(d) This Section does not apply to nonprofit blood banks |
| 11 | | or the affiliated laboratories of nonprofit blood banks.".
